It's your money! Keep as much of it, as possible! That's Adam's campaign slogan. It's simple, but it conveys his overall philosophy. It's your money. It's not the government's money. It isn't the politician's money. We aren't money banks for the politicians to stick their hands into and grab as much as they can. It's also about God-given rights and freedom. The government should be very reluctant to take our money away from us or abridge our freedoms. When it comes to policy, Adam's default answer is, "No." "No, there shouldn't be a new law. There shouldn't be a new tax. There shouldn't be a new regulation." If someone thinks there should be, they have to prove to that this is completely necessary and that it won't frivolously take people's money or freedom away from them. If someone presents Adam with a problem, he'll first try to find how the government has messed it up in the first place. What tax, regulation or law has impeded the proper pursuit of freedom and prosperity? In short, he wants to get the government out of our lives, as much as possible. Although not a perfect saying, Adam believes that the government which governs least, governs best.
