Meet Clay Jackson
"I’m running for State House of Delegates in Virginia’s 62nd House District, bringing to the table experiences gained as both a beef farmer and a local public servant. As a believer in small government, I started my public service on the local planning commission for several years where proposals for land use ran the gamut. This was followed by going on 14 years on the Madison County Board of Supervisors, ten of which I have been honored to serve as Chairman. From budgeting to education, from energy to water, the issues we’ve dealt with have been many and varied, confined to Madison or regional in nature."
Conservative Commonsense Values
"Running for the House of Delegates is an opportunity to expand my “neighborhood”, to represent the citizens of the 62nd District with conservative commonsense values. While recognizing the diverse needs of the district, we also face similar challenges within our communities that have not been adequately addressed in Richmond."
Infrastructure, Education & Fiscal Restraint
"Infrastructure, education and fiscal constraint are challenges that we can successfully navigate. With President Trump streamlining government (waste, fraud, abuse, etc.) at the National level, we can follow the example, doing our part at the State level."
Public Safety & Education
"Public safety and education are Constitutionally mandated as well as logical priorities. Other needs can be addressed properly, so long as we have the smallest possible government that stays out of individuals’ civil liberties, allows and helps the private sector to thrive, and preserves our Constitutional Rights."
Responsive Representation & Shared Values
"If you’re looking for talk and bluster, don’t vote for me. If you’re looking for active, responsive representation based on shared values, by getting my hands dirty and understanding issues with obtainable solutions, do vote for me on (or early [starting May 2} or absentee) June 17th, primary day in Virginia."
